You think it's possible? I think he can catch up to Kareem. He'll certainly pass Jordan in a couple of years....

Man Kobe been impressive since that got rid of Judas aka Been a dick Arnold. Now Judas a worn down man who past glory is a distance memory and now resides in Death Valleyof the Sun. 2 scoring titles and MVP plus first team honors. I think he can do it as long Buss family keep blessing him the right way.He payed for the sins of the fallout of the dynasty and now he has envolve from the great elite 8 to "the new day 24 hours".That just means he is 3 times better now 3 x 8 = 24. He carrying the cross and now he is offically the Jesus of the NBA and the Messiah of the Lakers.

Kobe is only about 1300 points away from AI. I would say Kobe has a good 6-7 years left in him. AI has a good 4 years left.

Keep in mind Kobe's age in "basketball years." Never know how the toll of injuries could affect him. He would need to basically average 30 for 7 full 82 game seasons to catch Kareem. If LeBron averages 30 for around 11 more seasons he'll reach it. I don't know if either is likely. There's a reason that 4 of the top 5 all-time scorers are big men. Smaller you are the harder you have to work the more likely it is you get injured. If Jordan wouldn't have retired when he had that gambling shit on him he still wouldn't have caught Kareem if you assume that he would have maintained his 30 point a game average.

He could but the team is improving too much they won't need him to score as high in the next couple years. Bynum is gonna be in his prime in 2 years Gasol is currently in his prime and the Young players and the Chinese guy Sun will be on board soon.
He'll be down to 20 a game wining titles in 2 years.
Physically there is no evidence yet on the whole basketball years argument.
I think his body is his actual age not his basketball age.
I think he'll play at a high level for 3-5 more years then start declining.
I think he'll be a 20 year player.

It has nothing to do with the physical evidence you see now. I am just saying the more games you play, the more opportunity for injury and attrition. I am not relying on him to break down to say he won't hit Kareem's numbers. I am just saying that there are a lot of things that would have to converge, including health for him to be that prolific for that long.

I agree with that.

He did not average 30 this year and the roster around him is better than the past few years. He is more concerned with rings and perhaps Jordan than the all-time scoring record!

Even if he wins a ring this season, I see the team falling apart in near future. Phil will leave, then so will Kobe
