I am writing a column for my site and I want to know with how the economy is going and North America combined from December 08 to January 09 losing almost 1 million jobs, if you just lost your job would you still buying video games?
Street Fighter 4 comes out in 11 days- would you buy it?
Would it be corny to tell people you anit buying SF4 or anyother $50-80 game cause your scared of losing your job?

Well, since I already paid for it I'd still get it since it would be my only source of entertainment while I look for a job. That said I wouldn't be buying any other games until I got myself back on my feet.

I guess it would depend on my situation: If I lost my job and had no real savings to fall back on I would probably be trying to sell my console so I could eat instead of feeding it games, however if I was "ok" financially and not severly strapped for cash I would probably buy a game here and there. If I were to buy it brand new @ $60 it would have to be an exceptional game otherwise i'd shop on the sale/discounted shelf @ Gamestop till I got working again.

I thanked god that I got GTA San Andreas when I was out of work a few years ago!
yes I would buy games, maybe rent more or buy used more, but have to have something to play

hell no. that's way irresponsible. you can't just restrict it to renting? i mean, if you're out of a job, hopefully you find a new one quick but what excuse you going to have when you can't find one and you've run out of money? spent it on video games?
no limits

When will you have time to play if YOU'RE OUT LOOKIN FOR A DANM JOB?there's only so much you can do when you're waiting to hear back from places. trust me, even when you are actively job hunting you will find lots of down time to play some shit to entertain yourself. playin games i understand... it's spending money on new ones i would dissuade someone from
