View Full Version : How easy is it to build a PC from scratch?

Anything i should worry about? Like installing Windows....would i have a problem booting..um..and other things when building

yeah, the hardest thing in building initially is making sure you have tha hardware and whatnot b4 you try and get up and running. DONT EVER make tha mistake of forgetting to plug in your processor fan too...I made that mistake and burned out a GREAT chip.

I've upgraded my PC with very lil problem. Got a mobo, chip and ram....it was simple except for fprcing the heatsink in. Formatted the PC and it worked (with problems on my part) But from scratch i've never done....

My suggestions, have a friend/colleague who can advise you and answer your questions. Do your research, lots of sites/articles out there. Have an idea what the pc will mainly be used for, you can then decide whether to spend extra on that soundcard.

Its all about research and chosing a relaible vendor. Its better to be really will read on the parts your buying and the anatomy of a pc then to freestyle it. One of the best suggestions is to go into a computer store or friends house and look at the inside of it just to get a feel for what yours should come out to be. Also ask around to more experienced cats, im sure that we have more then a few here.
